📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
The Office of the General Counsel is seeking an attorney who is preferably skilled in or possesses foundational knowledge of: (1) state and federal laws, rules, regulations, policy, and sub-regulatory guidance related to the Department's provision of health and human services, managed care, basic subsistence benefits, and employment practices; (2) understanding of legislative, judicial and executive branches of state and federal government; (3) knowledge of all phases of state and federal judicial and administrative proceedings and the litigation process; (4) use of Google Office Suite including Gmail, Google documents and sheets, and Google Drive; (5) ability to work independently; (6) project management; and (7) creative problem solving. Experience Required Minimum of 3 years' experience as a licensed attorney, including experience in conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and conducting complex legal analysis. Experience Preferred Education Required Bachelor's Degree, Juris Doctorate Degree, and an active license to practice law in the State of Arizona and have a membership in good standing.
