The Tax and Audit Intern will be responsible for preparing and reviewing a variety of tax returns and supporting documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable guidelines and regulations. This role will also support our global Internal Audit team that reports to our parent company, Belron (note this role will work with our team members located in Columbus, Ohio at Safelite). The audit role will include exposure to our risk-based audits for our 2024 audit plan and support the team members with the delivery of these reviews. The Internal Audit team will provide coaching and mentorship to this role to support audit responsibilities, which will include but are not limited to the following: learning company processes including an understanding of risks and controls, collecting and analyzing information relevant to the audit plan, and supporting administrative responsibilities to finalize audit fieldwork and reporting.

Essential Functions

Prepare state and local tax filings and supporting work papersAssist with Internal AuditSupport unclaimed property due diligence review process Support tax accounting reconciliation by analyzing large amount of data and verifying activitiesRespond to tax notices and questions from tax authorities and business

Education & Experience

High School Diploma required. Actively pursuing Bachelor's degree.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Understanding of tax compliance process and account reconciliation concepts Proficient with Microsoft Excel, comfortable working with large amount of dataKnowledge of corporate tax concepts
