Safety-Kleen in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Warehouse Worker Lead (Material Handler) to complete all assigned warehouse duties in a safe and responsible manner. This role will work within all local, state, and federal rules and regulations; and follow all Safety-Kleen policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe mannerSupervise warehouse personnelUnload containerized waste from the route trucksReload route trucks with supplies and equipment for next day’s runsEnsures all waste and containers are in acceptable shipping condition and organized for transport to recycle or distribution centersStock the warehouse with received materialsPrepare waste loads for shipmentHousekeeping in the branch (painting, picking up trash, sweeping, cleaning, straightening)Empty and fill drums of solvent mineral spiritsPerform minor repairs on parts washers at the warehouseSupervise third party bulk liquid transfersOrder inventory and assist with inventory count at warehouseFollow all local, state (provincial) and federal compliance regulations and rulesSafely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state (provincial) and federal requirementsSafely observe all corporate operating guidelines and proceduresObserve all company environmental health and safety operating guidelinesPerform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Previous relevant experienceAttention to detail Follow specific instructionsWork with minimal supervision at timesForklift driving skillsBasic computer skills Work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditionsPerform physical functions per job requirementsSuccessfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, by position

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced computer skills with applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Previous supervisory experiencePrevious experience with hazardous materials
