OBJECTIVEWe are seeking an experienced Hotel Manager to oversee the daily operations of Salamander DC. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a proven track record of success in managing luxury hotels within a unionized setting. The Hotel Manager will report to the Managing Director. Overall Management: Oversee all aspects of hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, spa, and engineering.Staff Management: Lead and motivate a diverse team of employees, ensuring high levels of morale, productivity, and professionalism. Implement training programs to enhance staff skills and performance.Guest Satisfaction: Ensure the highest standards of guest satisfaction are maintained throughout the hotel. Address any guest concerns or complaints promptly and effectively.Financial Management: Assist in management of the hotel's budget, monitor financial performance, and implement cost-control measures to maximize profitability.Quality Assurance: Uphold Salamander Collection reputation for excellence by maintaining quality standards and implementing best practices in all areas of operation.Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards. Implement policies and procedures to promote a safe and secure environment for guests and employees.Community Engagement: Represent the hotel in the local community and cultivate positive relationships with stakeholders, including local businesses, government agencies, and community organizations.

REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field (preferred).Proven experience as a Hotel Manager or similar role in a luxury hotel environment.Strong understanding of unionized labor environments and experience in labor relations.Excellent leadership and communication skills.Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.Exceptional customer service skills and a passion for hospitality.Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management.Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
