Role And Responsibilities

Samsung Electronic America’s Supply Chain Team is responsible for ensuring product availability to meet forecasted demand by the Sales Subsidiary. Forecasts are generated via consensus calls with Sales Teams, Marketing Teams, and with the Samsung Global Operations Center and tracked using spreadsheets, SAP, and Samsung Systems and Tools.

The Manager, Supply Chain Demand Forecasting is responsible for leading one product category and supporting a range of products and SKU’s and working with other Planners within the Department. The Manager will also help define and support strategic projects on behalf of the Supply Chain Team, generate and present reports for Executive Management, and represent the SCM Team with other Departments

The Supply Chain Manager will be the primary point of contact for all supply related issues related to their product category at the Sales Subsidiary. They will also interact closely with Customers and with internal teams including Senior Management.

Responsibilities

Lead a product category PSI team Leading a product category PSI team focused on forecasting and inventory managementManage Demand forecast +6months out to achieve weekly RTF, weekly OTRQ, and RevenueCollaborate with cross-functional teams (Product Management, Business Management, Sales, GOC) to align on AP2 and Revenue target considering promotional activities.Collaborate with Sales leader to review/discuss current month forecast vs Sales estimate and aging for current and next quarter and close the gapWeekly Demand (PSI) Forecast management the SKU levelSKU level AP1/AP2 update and customer order commitmentAP2 Buffer process with Product MarketingAging/ATS risk managementHost weekly S&OP meetings to discuss operational and supply chain issues with key stake holders. (BM/PM/GBM)Maintain proactive daily communication with the inbound and inventory teams to achieve department weekly/monthly goalsSupport running weekly Sales meeting with SCM/PM/BM/Sales teamReports and Metrics (including Demand Changes, Revenue Projection, Aging, Forecast Accuracy, etc…)Lead and support Strategic innovation projects related on a product category

Skills And Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor Degree requiredMinimum 5-7 years’ work experience in relevant field: Supply chain, Product management, Finance, Logistics or similar.Bi-Lingual Korean/English (Verbal/Written) helpful for communications with Global OperationsExcellent Analytical and Computer SkillsHigh proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, OutlookExcellent Communications skills (written, verbal)Must be comfortable presenting to and promoting consensus-building at the Executive level.Must be comfortable working in a multi-regional business environment

Preferred Qualifications

Available to work over-time and on weekends to support international operationsAbility to think creatively and need to provide plenty of initiative and can work unsupervisedProject management skill is plusStrong Math and Organizational Skills
