Job Details Position: Data Analyst InternPosition Type: Seasonal Full-Time Intern, In PersonLocation: Columbus, Nebraska Corporate OfficePay: $16.00/hour Hours: Day Shift Monday through Friday, flexible scheduling Description Sandy Pine is a multigenerational, family-owned farming operation based in Nebraska. We provide the most elite swine genetics available within the industry, across the United States and abroad. Program Objective:Data analytics is becoming increasingly sought after in the agricultural industry and Sandy Pine strives to be at the head of innovation in the swine industry. Our college student intern program provides hands-on, real-life data analytical experience within a variety of areas like swine production (sow farms), genetic centers (boar studs), feed processing (feed mill), market analysis (grain and livestock), budget creation, and to be a part of accounting innovation within Sandy Pine.
The experience gives the student the opportunity to gain knowledge about the swine industry and discover potential long-term career opportunities within our company. The skills acquired during the program will provide a baseline of knowledge to build upon in the future. Qualifications - Basic understanding of modern pig production practices preferred a plus (not required).- Working towards an associate/bachelor’s degree in business administration, agri-business, mathematics, or similar education. Need to have taken statistics and/or accounting courses.- Self-motivated, good team player, dependable, accountable, and desire to learn all about swine production and ag markets!
