With expansion into various new business lines, the business makes these decisions and then IT must follow and act immediately. The pace and tight deadlines will mean this isn’t a job for everyone, but it could well be for you.
You’re going to be joining the global team of BAs, where you’ll work with and report to the Program Manager. This will mean you’ll focus on gathering requirements for all aspects of the risk stream within the business, within the CTRM that’s been developed in-house. The platform primarily trades Physical Oil and Derivatives but also some Natural Gas. You’ll need to be well versed with the technicalities of these areas.
The great thing here is progression. You’ll be able to take a leading role in the ongoing development of the in-house CTRM system that’s not even been live for a year and will be paramount to the company’s success over the next 20 years.
Working closely with over 100 IT colleagues, you’ll have plenty of support to hit the deadlines and stay on track. That said, you will need to pick things up quickly and become the expert in Houston to explain and onboard.
In terms of your experience, you’ll need to have proven experience as a Business Analyst in Physical Commodities Trading, with a focus on Middle Office. Technical skills with SQL and/or Python would be great to have, SQL being the priority. The more technical exposure you’ve had previously, the better, so any kind of CTRM migrations and working in an Agile environment would be the cherry on top.
Starting salary will be up to $165,000 + a discretionary bonus. Benefits include 401k plan, various health benefits to choose from, generous PTO and transport allowances.
