Warehouse Supervisor

Your Day to DayAssists Warehouse Manager in recruiting, hiring and training of new employees.Schedules employees and ensure the shift has appropriate coverage, and oversees all warehouse employees during scheduled shift.Advises Warehouse Management of any corrective employment actions needed.Communicates with production Managers/Supervisors to ensure all necessary materials are available.Ensures proper inventorying of all finished product from production.Oversees finished product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling).Receives inbound raw materials ensuring proper transfer to warehouse storage, as well as appropriate paperwork.Responsible for quality control ensuring no damaged products are sent out nor damaged raw material being received.Maintains a clean and organized work area.Ensures all equipment is turned off and locked out when not in use.Assists Warehouse Manager with safety training.This position is also responsible for understanding related Quality Management Systems including SQF, HACCP, and GMP to ensure safety and quality of employees and products.

What you Bring to the TeamTwo years of warehouse experience, preferably in a supervisory capacity.Strong independent judgment and problem solving skills, as well as attention to detail.Demonstrated strong customer service orientation.Must possess strong verbal communication skills.Position requires a self-motivated, leader who has a positive, can-do approach.Position requires basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.Must have a flexible schedule including working overtime, nights and weekends if necessary.Must pass Forklift training and receive certification, demonstrating safe forklift and electric walking pallet jack operations.Must be able to read and write English

Physical Requirements/Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is expected to stand for at least ten hours per day.Use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms.Must be able to stoop, kneel or bend.Employee must be able to speak and hear.Employee must lift up to 55 pounds and is required to ask for assistance if limit is exceeded.
