📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Salesperson / Merchandiser – Young Men’s Apparel Company
Salary Range: $100,000 To $120,000 Annually Plus Commission
Position requires at least 5 years’ experience in sales in the apparel industry. Others need not apply.
Vibrant, established 30+ year running Young Men’s apparel company with stellar reputation, seeks an experienced & enthusiastic Salesperson/ Merchandiser. The ideal candidate will be a team player, able to work with cross functional internal design, sourcing, and product development teams, while managing sales to major retailers.
Our prospective candidate will have an established network of Young Men’s Apparel relationships with buyers and management at big box retailers. They will be able to develop and build that network upon our existing client base. Our Applicant must have a proven track record of building existing business and a history of opening new business.
Responsibilities
Focus on large accounts with high volume.Canvas the market and work with retail clients to bring the company product opportunities and lead generation that fit into our portfolio.Solicit, schedule and track sales appointments for new and existing accounts.Present product line to all levels of retail buying teams.Delivers product knowledge, competitive market trends, and insights to retail buying teams.Negotiates and closes sales.Forecast business to achieve sales & margin goals set with management.Works autonomously as well as with a team.Understands both the design and sales calendars.Travel as necessary.
Requirements
5-10 Years Product merchandising and sales development experience.Has existing partnerships with retail buying teams, preferably in young men’s apparel.Proven track record of product lifecycle sales – presentation to negotiation to closing.Strong analytical ability, specifically evaluation of product line sheets to margin targets.
Salary: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 annually, plus commission
