Job Description
Real Estate Paralegal PositionWe are looking for a paralegal with five or more years of experience working either in a law firm, title insurance or corporate real estate environment to join our existing legal team to assist with acquisitions, dispositions, all aspects of due diligence and development, entity administration, financing, and commercial lease and construction related documentation.The individual selected will work directly with existing in-house attorneys and paralegals, with outside counsel and with members of our development team to bring projects to successful fruition and to see projects through to an eventual sale or placement of permanent financing.Day to day responsibilities include reviewing title commitments, recorded documents and survey related documentation, reviewing pre-development site plans, preparation of transaction/closing documentation, including settlement statements, administration of business entity qualifications, tracking closing checklists to ensure successful closings and managing/tracking transactional timelines and deal requirements.The U.S. legal department at Scannell Properties currently has six attorneys, six paralegals and two administrative assistants.Desired Skills and ExperienceWe are looking for an individual with a strong work ethic who is a team player and proactive problem solver.Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook and a positive attitude represent basic requirements for the position.Our goal is to find an individual with meaningful experience in commercial real estate development, financing, closings, leasing, due diligence and acquisitions and dispositions.
