📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Schemmer is looking to hire a full-time Manager of Architecture to lead our Sioux Falls, SD Architecture Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play an integral part in the success of the division. The successful candidate will be responsible for design management, project management, and business development while leading and developing your design team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee and coordinate architectural production within assigned team.Provide technical and administrative supervision to project managers and architectural personnel.Ensures budgeted hours and schedules are met within targeted timeframes and in accordance with professional and company standards.Participate in planning meetings on major projects. Assesses the requirements of projects and determine scope of services.Assures that all design work is produced to standards of the profession, client and firm, is documented by appropriate calculations and supporting documentation, and conforms to applicable CADD standards.Responsible for Quality Assurance for assigned projects.
Qualifications
10+ years of professional work experience as an architect.Managerial skills related to staff and project scheduling, technical assistance, and budgeting.Proven record in leading design teams.Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture.Professional AIA or NCARB license required.
