Azure Cloud Engineer

Scion Technology has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for an experienced IT Systems Engineer for our client, a wonderful renewable energy organization in Oakland, CA! In this role, you’ll work with the IT team to provide top level support to networks, systems, and users. This is a full time, direct hire, hybrid (2 days a week onsite) role!

What you will be doing:Cloud infrastructure (Azure) including design, development, configuration, deployment of virtual machines/networks, and using containerization technologiesand enhance automation scripts using PowerShell, Linux Shell, and Pythonall physical and virtual IT systems are optimized, monitored, supported, secure and in compliance with policies and best practicesissues; perform root cause analysis, reactively and proactively support and resolve issues, with managed services partners/vendorsdocumentation for all corporate hardware, software, services, and infrastructuresoftware and deploy hardware as needed

What you will need:degree in IT related field preferredin managing IT Systems in an MSP environmentsupporting cloud technology infrastructure; Azure preferred, AWS or GCP is ok)with virtual systems, containers, and sandbox environmentswith troubleshooting and scripting (Python, PowerShell, Linux Shell)with Security, including mitigating threats, user training, penetration testingof networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls routers, switches, etc)
