Scion Staffing is searching for a HR Business Partner to join an impactful and well-established architecture firm based out of San Francisco, CA! This is a full-time, direct hire, hybrid role for immediate hire!
OVERVIEW Reporting to the Human Resources Director based in the UK, this role will play a crucial role in molding company culture. Responsibilities will involve overseeing HR operations and initiatives for our American locations. This role demands independence, top-notch communication, meticulousness, and adept multitasking. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING Advise management on HR and people-related issues, shaping a high-impact people, talent, and culture function. Manage day-to-day people operations, covering onboarding to offboarding, benefits, payroll, talent acquisition, performance management, learning, and employee engagement. Lead recruitment and talent acquisition for key roles, ensuring top-quality hires within set timelines. Manage compensation and total rewards programs, aligning them with organizational goals, market trends, and employee needs. Supervise performance management, integrating it with employee development plans, career pathways, and succession planning. Drive culture, diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives forward. Update employment policies to adhere to best practices and ensure legal compliance, collaborating with legal counsel when necessary. Address critical employee relations issues sensitively and confidentially, providing guidance to managers and employees. Support payroll processing and US benefits administration as required. Oversee HR projects, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Manage FMLA, CFRA, disability leaves, and workers' compensation claims. Track HR metrics and produce reports for management as required.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL 5+ years in Human Resources, with a focus on California and Florida labor laws. Experience in architecture, engineering, or related fields would be highly beneficial. Significant and deep knowledge across the areas of talent acquisition, talent management, performance and learning, total rewards including compensation and benefits, employee engagement, DEIA initiatives, and HR technologies. Strong understanding of employment law, government compliance regulations, and best practices in HR/People operations. Familiarity with HRIS systems (Paylocity, Oracle and Smart Recruiters experience is a bonus).
COMPENSATION This position offers a salary range of $80K – 120K DOE + opportunity for bonuses throughout the year. Benefits include health, dental, and vision, PTO, 401K + profit sharing plan, and more!
