Scopely is looking for a Senior Games Researcher to join an unannounced project team in the United States City on a remote basis!

We are in the development stages on one of our new unannounced casual gaming project, and are looking for passionate game makers to collaborate, get in early and make their mark on this exciting venture!

What You Will Do

The role is expected to lead user research on games that drive a greater understanding of our players and their experiencesDesign, implement, and lead high-impact research to support several cross-functional teams, including game design, UX design, product management, production, and marketingCarries out research using a variety of methodologies but not limited to playtesting, usability testing, focus groups, cognitive load testing, interviews, heuristic evaluations, and exploratory researchManage end-to-end quantitative and qualitative research studies such as customer satisfaction surveys, feature development and prioritization, positioning research, etc.Utilizes multiple sources of research/data to identify actionable insightsCommunicates findings and recommendations to teams for discussion and application. Collaborate with fellow researchers about new research techniques and methodologies

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree required; MBA/Masters/Ph.D. preferredYou have a strong foundation in mixed methodology research6+ years of industry experience conducting research in the gaming space or a related fieldPassion for gaming and a strong understanding of core loops and monetization of mobile games.Eagerness to learn and build research skillsetExperience designing and executing a variety of qualitative and quantitative methodologies that have driven key insight into game developmentExperience designing and conducting usability research/playtestsExperience working with and managing projects with research vendorsExcellent interpersonal, analytical, and project management skillsAbility to build relationships that allow you to influence cross-functional teamsAttention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and a drive to answer complex questionsFamiliarity with online survey software tools Experience with analytics software tools like SPSS and SQL is a plus.

For candidates in CA, CO, NJ, NY and WA, the annual salary range is $130,000 - $145,000, plus equity, bonus and benefits including healthcare benefits, retirement benefits, pet insurance, paid holidays, paid Scopely free days, and unlimited paid time-off. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
