What You'll Be Doing

Practice Manager- Operations is responsible for managing and supervising the Hospital Practice Specialist (PSs) and Hospital Records Coordinators. PM-Operations provide support to Hospital Medicine and Critical Care practices and are responsible for developing and improving daily processes, routines, and systems. PM-Operations is the first line of leadership responsible for resolving onboarding and overarching operational challenges/issues interfering with completion of duties by HRCs, HPSs, and clinicians. PM-Operations will reinforce compliance with data accuracy & integrity and support practice goals and targets including timely completion of practice operations. PM-Operations function as liaison between HPSs and HRCs for all interdepartmental task and processes. PM-Operations support all program starts and provide onboarding training as needed.

Day to day contact with Hospital Practice Specialist/Hospital Records Coordinators to monitor data accuracy/ integrity and trouble shoot issues interfering with completion of daily duties by HPSs, HPCs, and/or clinicians.Recruiting, training, onboarding, and leading teams and programs as assigned. Promoting strategic professional growth for both their roles and their teams.Maintaining a safe, secure, and legal work environment.Clearly articulating and evaluating job and performance expectations to their respective teams. Provide coaching, counseling, and disciplinary action to supervised employees.Developing, coordinating, auditing, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, processes, and productivity standards.Maintains quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards. Working diligently to resolve quality and customer service issues, mitigating deficiencies, identifying trends, and recommending system/process improvements.Assist with credentialing, scheduling/coverage emergencies as needed, facilitating conversations between staffing operations, field operations, and medical leadership.Review or assist with gathering information and standing reports needed by field operations and/or hospital partners.Support interdisciplinary teams, both SCP and hospital based, to assist with complete medical records process management, Information Systems, and Quality & Case Management priorities.Ensure PCs and PSs meet all internal and external customers needs and foster quality relationships.Support PCs and PSs for all necessary meetings and workgroups.Assist in program marketing to Medical Staff Physician Practices to ensure retention of existing referral sources and to grow new referrals and volumes.Assist with oversight and enforcement of Provider and HPC compliance as related to coding & auditing processes. Recommend re-allocation of resources across facilities to ensure requirements are met and documentation needed by auditors is available/received.Serve as back up to HPCs during unexpected or planned absences by traveling to sites and/or completing duties remotely.Responsible for completion of assigned start-up activities prior to first date of practice for new facilities.Completes initial on-site visit to ensure first phase of HPC orientation is completed and that all software, connections or other needs to complete duties are working properly on or prior to new practice engagement. Return as requested by Director or CSVP/SVP as needs arise.Acts as back-up to facilities/HPCs when unexpected or planned absences occur to ensure minimal client and SCP Health demands are met.Any other duties or assignments, related to Practice Management, determined by VP Clinical Operations and the needs of the business.Be available for emergency scheduling on-call rotation.

Who/What We Are Looking For

You have a Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare or related field.You have 3 years of Healthcare Practice Management experience preferred, or Office Management with supervisory responsibilities.Month end management or report generation experienceProfessional Fees billing, coding and auditing experience preferred Physician scheduling experience preferredKnowledge of Physician credentialing preferredYou have hospital staff interface and understanding of department functions (Case Management, Medical Records, Nursing, Medical Staff) You must be able to set priorities and demonstrate sound judgment in handling problems.You must be well organized and demonstrate exceptional time management and priority setting skills.You must be able to communicate effectively with management, staff, client hospitals and other professionals.This position will be ON-SITE, full-time (40 hours) Monday-Friday. You must be able to travel with the possibility of extended overnight stays as needed.You must have a dependable automobile for use of travel to assigned client practices.You have an understanding of Hospitalist Recruitment, Retention, Scheduling & Credentialing
