We invite you to join our highly dynamic team as a Diabetes Educator I. This position helps cover ambulatory and inpatient diabetes education needs throughout our Scripps Health organization across San Diego county.
As a Diabetes Educator I, you will provide diabetes-specific clinical, educational, and/or research services in a variety of settings. Settings may include inpatient, outpatient, community, and/or research programs.
Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills
A minimum of two years providing diabetes education as an RN or RD required.
Required Certification/Registration
Current BLS.Must obtain CDE within 3 years of hire.Licensed to practice in the State of California as an RN or RD.
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification
For RNs, a bachelors Degree in Nursing is preferred and certified diabetes educator CDE certification is preferred.For RDs, certification as a CDE is preferred.

Position Pay Range: $34.98-$52.47/hour
