Position Overview: As an integral part of our client's finance team, the FP&A Director will play a key role in driving strategic decision-making and business growth. This position will be responsible for leading the financial planning and analysis function, providing insights and recommendations to senior management, and partnering with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational objectives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in financial planning and analysis, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the lending industry.
Responsibilities:Lead the development and implementation of financial models, budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans to support business objectives and drive growth in the lending business.Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), financial metrics, and market trends to assess business performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and mitigate risks.Prepare and present financial reports, analyses, and presentations to senior management and key stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations to support decision-making.Partner with business units, including risk management, underwriting, and operations, to develop and implement strategies to optimize profitability, manage risk, and enhance customer experience.Monitor and analyze loan portfolio performance, including delinquency rates, credit quality, and asset quality, and provide recommendations to optimize portfolio management and enhance returns.Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify emerging trends, competitive threats, and opportunities for innovation in the lending industry.Lead and mentor a team of financial analysts, providing guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities to drive performance and achieve organizational goals.
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field; MBA or CFA certification preferred.Minimum of 9 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in the lending or financial services industry.Strong understanding of financial concepts, including financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.Proficiency in financial analysis tools and software, such as Excel, SQL, and financial modeling software.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.Proven leadership experience, with the ability to lead and develop a team of financial analysts in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.Ability to thrive in a collaborative and cross-functional environment, with a strong focus on teamwork and achieving shared goals.
