Maintenance Supervisor

Position Title: Maintenence Supervisor Location: Vance, ALPay: $75,000-$90,000

Main Objective of PositionEnsuring the efficient operation of building/facility and all installed equipment. Select, train and manage all Maintenance team members and continually increase ability, competence and effectiveness of maintenance team.

Tasks and Responsibilities Design and implement predictive and preventive maintenance programs for facility and plant equipmentManage maintenance team members to ensure proper procedures are being followed. Make recommendations on employment actions, and evaluate performance of employees.Design and implement preventive maintenance programs for facility and all plant equipmentSchedule, train, supervise and motivate employees for the maintenance departmentCoordinate work performed by outside vendorsEnsure efficient repair schedules and review repair cost estimatesManage, control and monitor inventory of spare partsImplement and monitor safety policies and procedures of the departmentContribute the implementation of best practices to improve operational performanceDevelop clear accountability for maintenance material spend and implement strategy to manage expenditureOther duties assigned in order to ensure operations run efficiently

Required EducationBachelor Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.

Professional Experience (Years/ Experience)A minimum of five years’ experience in an automotive manufacturing supervisory role.Specialized Knowledge, Skills and RequirementsExtensive experience in problem solving, both individually and in group efforts.Experience in a Manufacturing environment (preferably in a plating on plastic & injection molding facility)Familiarity with pneumatics, hydraulics and electrical controlsPLC trouble shooting and programmingProficient welding techniques plastic and metalAbility to read blue prints and drawingsFamiliar with operation of industrial compressors, chillers, boilersExcellent attendance and the ability to work a flexible schedule are essential for this position.Experience implementing maintenance training/skill enhancement programs is preferredExperience managing complex budgetsAbility to meet physical demands of the position, which may include: climbing stairs/ladders, stooping, kneeling, crouching, walking, standing, and lifting. Ability to safely work in areas that are subjected to hazardous chemicals and machinery.Physically capable of lifting, pulling, pushing up to 50 pounds without injury.Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment.
