The Role
The Repair and Production Technician will be based out of our Marion, Iowa shop with a primary responsibility of diagnosing, repairing, and configuring equipment to be shipped for production use. Responsibilities will also include inventory management as well as shipping and receiving. At times the Repair and Production Technician will be expected to assist with Preventative and Reactive Maintenance as needed. This position will work with the Engineering Team in a collaborative effort to optimize our service delivery, repair procedures and ensure the highest quality of operations for our customers. The daily work will include working with PC’s and software to test and repair hardware, remotely monitor of systems, coordinating with local contractors for service tasks, recording maintenance logs, and communicating with team members to share knowledge allowing an effective solution to problems.
Skills And Responsibilities
Be a self-starter, have the capacity to work independently with limited supervision.Take ownership of technical issues, drive each problem to resolution.Effective communicator to our internal and external customersKnowledge and experience using power tools and hand tools is essential. Ability to read wiring diagrams and understand building plans is preferred.Knowledge of AC & DC circuits including relays, must be skilled with the use of a
multimeter
Experience with networks, with the ability to setup and troubleshoot IP devices.25% Travel, primarily throughout the state of Iowa
Qualifications
A degree or certification related to engineering, technology, or construction. Comparable on the job training also accepted.2 - 4 years’ experience working in a warehouse or repair department with a background in installing, programming, repairing electronic equipmentFamiliar with Google applications; docs, sheets, slidesHave dependable transportation, use of vehicle is required
Work Environment
Ability to work at heights of 10’ to 30’ highCapable of lifting up to 50 lbsLikes being outdoors in all weather conditionsFlexibility to work after hours and weekends
