THE OPPORTUNITYThe Maintenance Tech A is responsible for maintaining production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery, mechanical equipment, infrastructure, and facilities. Openly accepts work assignments from Manager, Assistant Manager, or Team Lead and understands the positive impact/outcome the work has on the business. Considers multiple paths and applies knowledge and learnings to actively identify and provide solutions to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Maintains a strong desire/willingness to enhance professional growth and assists in the development and training of coworkers.
RESPONSIBILITIES Ensures efficient and effective operation of production machinery and supporting equipment by completing preventive maintenance as specified through manufacturer’s instructions and guidelines.Controls downtime by scheduling optimum times for routine preventive maintenance with Manager or Production Leads.Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment, following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications, using hand tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment.Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus, such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures, using test equipment, and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables, using hand tools.Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards, using electronic test equipment and hand tools.Diagnose and replace faulty electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of production machines and equipment.
REQUIREMENTSPost high school technical school coursework in maintenance field or equivalent education & experience. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in manufacturing maintenance.Strong electrical/electronic and mechanical knowledge and skillsProven ability to troubleshoot equipment repairs and PMs.Comfortable working at higher heightsExperienced in programming and editing CNC/Fanuc ControlsProfessional attitude when approaching work assignments.Sense of urgency towards completing assigned tasks on timeAbility to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and measurement tools and gauges.Ability to be forklift and scissor-lift certifiedAbility to be forklift certified
