📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
EXPERIENCE IN FOOD MANUFACTURING A PLUS!
Duties:- Develop and implement environmental health and safety (EHS) programs and policies to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory agencies.- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols.- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop corrective actions.- Provide training and education on EHS topics to employees at all levels of the organization.- Develop and maintain safety data sheets (SDS) for hazardous materials used in the workplace.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop emergency response plans and conduct drills.- Monitor and evaluate workplace conditions to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures.- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in EHS.
Skills:- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and requirements.- Experience in developing and delivering EHS training programs.- Proficiency in conducting root cause analysis for accidents and incidents.- Certification in CPR, first aid, or other relevant emergency response training.- Familiarity with workers' compensation processes and procedures.- Ability to fabricate reports, documents, or other materials related to EHS programs.- Knowledge of occupational health principles and practices.This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of EHS regulations and be able to develop and implement effective programs to ensure compliance. Job Type: Full-time- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Environmental Science, or related field- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA guidelines, and workers' compensation laws- Experience in conducting root cause analysis and developing corrective action plans- Proficient in report writing and data analysis- Ability to develop and deliver effective training programs- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
