If you're an Andrology /Endocrine Laboratory Technician looking for a new opportunity to work in a fast-paced, professional environment where your talent contributes to changing people’s lives, then we want to talk to you. This position requires collaborating with physicians, other medical providers, and patients by providing nurse case management services for fertility treatments.

We have an opening for a full time Andrology Lab Technician to join our team in our Houston, Clear Lake, and Memorial City locations. The schedule is working daytime hours Monday through Friday with weekend rotations every 4th week.

How You'll Contribute

We always do whatever it takes, even if it isn’t specifically our “job.” In general, the Andrology /Endocrine Laboratory Technician is responsible for:

Shipping, receiving and disposition of frozen samplesOrdering and receiving lab suppliesExamine and process specimens for routine semen analysisPerform counts for concentration and motility, perform histological techniques for identifying leucocytes, immature germ cells and morphologyProcess semen for ART procedures and intrauterine inseminations (IUIs)Perform semen cryopreservationAssure proper sample collection, delivery and identification (chain of custody)Perform daily/monthly quality control procedures for media and equipment used in the Andrology/Endocrine laboratoryAssist laboratory personnel in performing lab services in accordance with Federal, State, and local laws and guidelines to ensure laboratory maintains accreditationChecks and records daily temperature of refrigerators to ensure proper storage of media reagents.Performs quality controls, calibration and instrument preventive maintenance checks at the required frequency and documents such actions.Monitors supply of reagents and other material to ensure adequate supply at all times and orders supplies when necessary.

What You'll Bring

B.S. in Biology or other relevant science and/or MLT ASCPMinimum of one year laboratory experienceExperience with a chemistry analyzer strongly preferredTissue culture experience (sterile technique) and/or semen processing a plus
