Shaw Specialty Markets is a design and service leader in the markets that we serve. We sell directly into other manufacturing environments. Our key markets for traditional floor coverings are Manufactured/Modular Housing, Recreational Vehicle, Marine, and Exposition. Shaw Specialty Markets also includes many selling channels that predominantly utilize non-woven fabrics. We strive to provide value to our diverse customer base through innovative product design, relationships built on trust, and a commitment to service.

The marketing intern position is an important part of our current growth strategy. The intern will work closely with the director of marketing to identify customer and sales force needs with respect to relevant communication. The intern will collaborate with creative services to design, develop and deploy relevant messaging that drives consumer preference. This position may also be asked to compile and amplify current market research that supports the exploration of new markets. The intern position will be given ample opportunities to learn more advanced business concepts and will be included in important decisions that affect the business unit.

Responsibilities

Interface with internal customers to drive channel marketing projects. Works with internal marketing services Works with external market research firm Manage workflow, schedule, and traffic of projects from concept to completion Compile and present relevant market research

Requirements

Currently Enrolled in a College or University with a relevant field of study Clear and concise written and verbal communication & relationship building skills Excellent problem solver with good attention to detail Must possess excellent organizational and planning skill Well-developed, effective project management skills Good presentation skills

8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts AM
