Job Overview – Real Estate CFO – 32842

You will be a vital member of the senior management team, directly reporting to the CEO. This role requires a strong work ethic and exceptional leadership abilities to oversee all financial activities, provide strategic insights, and ensure financial health and compliance. The position is primarily office-based, requiring a hands-on approach and a commitment to full-time presence at our headquarters.

Responsibilities

Develop financial strategies by forecasting capital, facilities, and staff requirements; identifying monetary resources; and developing action plans. Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results; initiating corrective actions; and minimizing the impact of variances. Report financial status by developing forecasts, reporting results, analyzing variances, and developing improvements. Manage budget and controls expenses effectively by obtaining, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plans. Oversee all accounting operations, including billing, A/R, A/P, GL, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition for real estate transactions. Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements in compliance with GAAP. Implement and maintain internal controls and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safeguard company assets. Develop and maintain financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives and property portfolio management. Manage and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support overall company goals and initiatives. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing financial reports; and advising management on needed actions. Enhance, develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the corporation. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies. Working with lenders and equity sources to close real estate transactions

Requirements

BS or Masters in Accounting and CPA 8+ years of financial and management experience with day-to-day financial operations exposure in the real estate industry Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills Excellent analytical and organizational skills Strong ethical commitment to transparency and accountability in all financial management practices Willingness and ability to work on-site in Fort Mill/Rock Hill South Carolina
