Position Summary
Develop, maintain, and distribute electronic and hard-copied documents, departmental files, and resource materials necessary to define product configuration and control manufacturing processes that insure conformance to customer requirements with assistance from subject matter experts. Manage the operation of document control activities to ensure that all users have the latest revision of appropriate documentation in a timely manner. Recognize quality problems, recommend solutions, and put solutions into actions. Become subject matter expert in use of companies existing document control systems, and recommend/drive improvements, including electronic documentation. Assist the Quality Manager in problem solving product and build issues utilizing knowledge gained from documentation or prior experience.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Learning the Development, Collecting, and maintaining of documented information of the latest revision levels necessary to control product realization processes throughout all New Hampshire facilities.Learning to upload electronic distribution, verifying access and retrieval, assuring availability at the point of use, and assuring relevant personnel are notified. Primary emphasis is on Pease operations.In collaboration with quality and manufacturing leads, Lead timely distribution of latest revision level documentation to all appropriate users.Learning how to keep track of current documentation and assure that obsolete documentation is removed from work areas. Collaborate closely with those assigned to document control duties in specific departments, as applicable.Helps facilitate communication between relevant groups in machine shops, assembly, packing, Testing, about quality related to documentation, including driving corrective action activity on issues needing improvement. Perform frequent production floor, packing, and machining audits of all New Hampshire facilities, and lead correction of issues found.Participate in continuous improvement projects.Assist in maintaining product line specific quality records.Perform administrative duties to generate documents as necessary, with inputs from subject matter experts.Learn to lead control of documented information activities in accordance with ISO 9001 standard and participate on ISO 9001 internal audit team. Train others on document control procedures.Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to next level manager and fellow employees, including between departments.Ability to travel to all New Hampshire facilities and be available to meet the business needs if overtime is required.Learning to utilize analytical thinking and work closely with inspectors and engineers for data collection and analysis, troubleshooting and root cause analysis, always maintaining appropriate levels of workplace organization and safety.Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Education And/or Experience
High school diploma or equivalent; 2-year degree in business (preferred) or related experience.Familiar with drawing/print reading, basic Quality concepts, and mechanical design document interpretation.Basic computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, MRP systems (eg, Oracle) and PLM systems (eg, Agile)
Should have fundamental technical and mechanical aptitude with basic optical, electrical, and mechanical test instruments and techniques, as well as strong aptitude with hand tools and small power tools.
Effective planning, organizational and influencing skills, with the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.Highly motivated, with ability to work independently, and with high attention to detail.Should be familiar with Acceptance Quality Limit theory and practical development and application of valid sampling plans.Excellent communication, organization and task management skills are required.Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
Work Conditions
Occasionally lift 10-30 lbs.Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required for specific processes.
