Cloud Systems Engineer II

How will this role have an impact?

We are looking to hire an experienced Cloud & Infrastructure engineer to manage and maintain our company’s enterprise systems and services. As a Cloud & Infrastructure engineer, you will be responsible for handling advanced support issues, maintaining branch office and Cloud based services.. Ultimately, you will be responsible for the functional management of our environment, the delegation of tasks, and the resolution of incidents.

To ensure success as a Cloud & Infrastructure engineer, you should have extensive experience working with enterprise Cloud & Infrastructure environments, high-level managerial skills, and advanced project management skills. The Cloud & Infrastructure engineer ensures the team performs as a cohesive unit, maintaining the stability and performance of the Cloud and Infrastructure environments.

Not only can you help us connect the dots and evolve our cloud capabilities over time, but you’re also evolving your own capabilities as an engineer and keeping an eye on developments that can support our expansion and help us implement those, too!

This role will report to our Director of Network, Voice and Infrastructure Operations

What will you do?

Operate, design and implement functional company Cloud and Infrastructure environmentsInstalling and configuring Cloud and Infrastructure servicesCreating and implementing security measures with Security Operations teamsManaging and mentoring other engineersConducting regular Cloud and Infrastructure performance testsPerforming maintenance tasks to ensure availabilityDealing with escalated support issuesReporting up Cloud and Infrastructure status reports (monthly)Orchestrating and automating cloud-based platforms throughout the companyWrite and implement protocols company-wide via department policies and proceduresStay current with industry trends, making recommendations as needed to help the company excel

We Are Looking For Someone With

Previous work experience as a Cloud and Infrastructure engineer (4+ years)Advanced knowledge of infrastructure, network and cloud protocolsAdvanced knowledge of Infrastructure systems including Windows Server, Active Directory, LDAP, VDI, Backup and Restore (BaaS)Advanced knowledge of Cloud environments including Azure and AWSFamiliarity with SSL certificates and related applicationsExtensive experience with open-source technology, software development and system engineeringInterest in Cloud and Infrastructure Engineering and its impact on business practicesExcellent leadership and mentoring skillsExcellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to stay focused on completing tasks and meeting goals within a busy workspace Skilled at working with a team of engineers, or alone as requiredCertification as an Azure / Windows Administrator/Architect Certification, AWS Solutions Architect and/or Cloud Security Certification

The base salary hiring range for this position is $72,100 to $125,600. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, and benefits.
