Senior Software Engineer
A financial sciences company is seeking a talented individual to join their team focused on fast trading engineering. The role involves designing and implementing software for trading various financial instruments with a focus on low-latency techniques. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in low-latency trading, expertise in market microstructure, and strong programming skills.
Responsibilities include:Designing and implementing software for trading various financial instrumentsEngineering computer models for different financial markets and investment transactionsExtending the trading software platform to cover new markets and asset classesProviding technical support to traders executing portfolio ordersCollaborating with modelers and researchers to develop software for new trading tacticsAnalyzing trading performance and other quantitative measures to inform decision-making
Qualifications:Minimum 10 years of experience in low-latency tradingBS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fieldProficiency in C++, C, or other systems software developmentExperience with distributed systems and networkingKnowledge of market microstructure and automated trading systemsSystems scripting experience in Linux, including Python scripting
