Safety Inspector

Based in Hollywood, FL, Sintavia, LLC designs and additively manufactures critical components for the Aerospace, Defense, & Space industry.

Summary: The Safety Inspector is responsible for enforcing adherence to all safety regulations and ensuring that all workplace activities are conducted in a safe and efficient manner. This role involves conducting regular inspections of equipment, facilities, and work practices to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards. The Safety Inspector plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe work environment, minimizing risks, and protecting the health and well-being of all employees.

Key Responsibilities:Conduct detailed inspections of physical work environments, machinery, and safety equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.Identify potential hazards and risks in the workplace, recommending practical solutions and preventive measures.Monitor and enforce the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all staff.Ensure that all safety signs and emergency exit routes are clearly marked and maintained.Train and educate employees on safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of safety equipment and emergency response techniques.Investigate accidents or incidents to ascertain causes and to determine how such accidents might be prevented in the future.Maintain records of inspections, safety violations, and other relevant safety data.Stay updated with new legislation and advancements in the field of workplace safety.Collaborate with management to update safety policies and procedures as needed.

Qualifications:Proven experience as a Safety Inspector or similar role in an industrial or construction environment.Strong knowledge of legislation (e.g. OSHA/EPA) and procedures.Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices.Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety.Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics.Proficient in MS Office; Working knowledge of safety management information systems is a plus.Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics.Certificate in occupational health and safety.

Work Environment: The Safety Inspector often works in a variety of settings including factories, construction sites, and offices. The role may involve exposure to hazardous conditions and materials, requiring strict adherence to safety protocols.
