Accountant ONSITE - Monday - FridayPay 75k-85k
SummaryUnder the direction of the Controller, the Accountant is responsible for preparing, examining and analyzing accounting records and financial statements for accuracy and completeness while balancing and maintaining general ledger accounts, including cash, and supervising accounts receivable and accounts payable; ensuring deadlines are met and processes are performed in accordance with acceptable accounting principles and company procedures and policies.
Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesThis list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.Performs month end close and balance sheet and revenue report reconciliationEnforces company accounting policies and internal controls in accordance with acceptable accounting principlesAssists in establishing and maintaining policies, procedures and practices relating to the management of accounting related functions emphasizing on accounts payable, accounts receivable and credit policiesPerforms bank reconciliations for checking account(s), makes bank deposits and maintains cash balanceCreates monthly journal entries and various journal postingsPerforms analysis of general ledger accountsManages lien process and communicates with outside counselAssists subordinate accounting personnel in the utilization of procedures and systems necessary to maintain proper records and to afford adequate accounting controls and servicesIdentifies financial business processes that can be improved through technology and build solutions to increase productivity and reduce costsMaintains accounting records and assists with other accounting functions such as taxes, monthly and yearly financial reports and statementsCreates and maintains various accounting related reports as required by management or government agenciesDevelops rapport and mutually beneficial relationships with customers and vendors Prepares, prints and mails checks according to payment schedulesRecords cash receipts, batch numbers and balance totalsInputs and analyzes data in ERP system and creates reportsWorks safely and supports and enforces all safety rulesWorks safely and supports and enforces all safety rulesLives Company Core Values: Pride & Passion – Be Tenacious and Resourceful Friendly & Fair – Do the Right Thing Listen, Learn & Lead – Seek a Better Way Owners & Operators – Act Like it Work & Win – Together as 1 TeamDescription of Marginal Job Functions:Acts as back-up for payroll functionMaintains industry certificationsActs as back-up for Accounts Payable and Accounts receivable functions, recording cash receipts, batch numbers and balance totals and pursues outstanding invoices and negotiates payment plans with past due customersSets personal goals for continued learning and growth
