Senior Financial Analyst

PositionSizigi is partnering with a leading public technology company to help them hire a Senior Financial Analyst, Payment Cost Management. You will be responsible for providing data-backed forecasts, plans, and performance insights for fees related to processing payments. This is a hybrid role, working a couple days a week in their Santa Clara office.

Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify industry best practices and opportunities for reducing payment processing fees across all product lines.Build and maintain a forecasting model to accurately forecast payment processing fees.Use Tableau or equivalent business intelligence tools to build and maintain dashboards to give key stakeholders access to all the information they need to develop various financial planning models.Perform monthly invoice reviews to identify the largest areas of opportunities within payment processing.Gather relevant information using SQL or equivalent query language, identify patterns/trends, and explain them by developing a hypothesis testable through A/B or multivariate split testing.Build financial models to quantify the impact of certain payment initiatives (e.g., new payment methods) or payment parameters (e.g., payment method type mix, traffic mix) on the company’s financial statements.

Desired Experience And SkillsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business or equivalent5+ years of progressive financial planning & analysis experience in a high-growth tech environment.Advanced modeling skills in Excel, SQL, or equivalent query languages, and Tableau or similar business intelligence or data visualization tools.Solid understanding of how key business drivers, e.g., payment success rate (retries), and chargebacks, affect a company’s financial performance.Strong communication, and interpersonal skills to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
