About the Role   SkyHive is growing and we’re looking for a Principal Product Designer with 10 plus years’ experience in UX and interactive design for SaaS products. You will report to our Director of Design while working closely with our VP Product to bring our design strategy to life across multiple products and personas. You understand the lifecycle from research through prototyping to design & user testing and can coach team members on how evolve their approach. You love to solve complex problems and obsess over the details. You have a sense for extraordinary, pixel-perfect design solutions and you’re a team player who knows how to collaborate and brainstorm with all kinds of people with different skills.

Please note this role requires you to work in the office at least three days a week. What You Will Do Set the bar for what exceptional design looks like in practice, process and deliverable Be an informal leader across the development organization, including: mentor junior designers, guiding the team in adopting best practices, design methodologies, and new tools/technologies. Lead the creation and development of a comprehensive design system that serves as a single source of truth for design patterns, components, and guidelines. Optimize our personas user journeys at both the micro (interface) and macro (user journey) levels. Design digital experiences that result in a positive, measurable outcome for our users on their journey to reskill and reach their potential. Collaborate daily with Product Managers, Software Developers and other UX/UI designers to define, design and deliver extraordinary products. Conduct usability testing and gather feedback from users to iterate on designs and continuously improve the product experience Conduct a full design cycle from collecting inspiration through creating a pixel-perfect UI for all states and scenarios and deliver to development. Conduct design reviews, critiques, and provide constructive feedback to designers to help them improve their work and enhance the overall quality of your teams' designs. What You Will Bring Extensive experience, formal training or education in Visual Communication, Graphic Design, Content Design or Interactive Design Hands on experience designing with AI systems, including: user feedback loops, model iteration, data requirements and AI fundamentals A strong design portfolio demonstrating knowledge of responsive design, proper grids, scalable typography, interactions, and native app flows Solid understanding of technical concepts and constraints when working with AI systems, big data products and SaaS architectures Experience in data visualisation Excellent typography, layout and color sensibilities, with illustration as a nice to have Figma mastery (auto-layout and variables are your jam, you’ve owned and published pattern components for your previous projects) Prototyping & animation tools (Figma, Principle, Protopie, Lottie, Three.js, etc.) Excited about the opportunity, but worried you don’t meet all the requirements?
