Field Tech Supervisor

The Field Tech Supervisor will oversee a team of field technicians responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting our broadband services. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:Supervise a team of field technicians, providing guidance, support, and training as neededEnsure that all installations and maintenance work is completed accurately and in a timely mannerCoordinate with the operations team to schedule appointments and allocate resources effectivelyMonitor team performance and implement strategies to improve efficiency and productivityEnsure compliance with safety regulations and company policiesServe as a point of contact for escalated customer inquiries and technical issuesMaintain accurate records of work performed and equipment inventoryCollaborate with other departments to identify and implement process improvements

Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical certification preferred3+ years of experience in telecommunications or a related field1+ years of experience in a supervisory roleVery valuable experience:Experience with fixed wireless technology and installations is highly desirableKnowledge of VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) systems and networking protocolsFamiliarity with tools and equipment used in wireless installations, such as antennas, radios, and cablingUnderstanding of signal propagation and interference mitigation techniques in wireless networksAbility to troubleshoot connectivity issues and optimize network performance in a wireless environmentStrong technical skills, including knowledge of networking principles and equipmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyValid driver's license and clean driving record

Physical And Sensory Requirements:The physical and sensory abilities required for this classification include:Strength to lift a 50-pound object, without assistance, and items weighing up to 150 pounds with assistance.Coordination and equilibrium sufficient to climb a ladder and maintain balance while pulling cable.Sight in order to read computer screens and standard computer printouts / may involve extensive VDT exposure; visual color discrimination sufficient to distinguish the color codes of wire and schematic drawings.Hearing, speech, sight, and physical dexterity sufficient to function in a typical office environment.Coordinated, skillful movements of fingers, hands and arms to operate a computer keyboard; may require hand/eye coordination for semi-skilled movements, such as taking apart casings, installing parts and reconnecting computers.Strength and dexterity to crawl, kneel, crouch, or twist to reach/and or work with assigned systems.Manual and finger dexterity sufficient to work with hands in close tolerances and to work with extremely small electronic components.Strength, mobility and dexterity to use small hand and power tools as necessary and to climb or crawl to install equipment in areas of close tolerance.
