Summary
Develop and execute automation solutions for the modernization and new installation of Level 1 control systems for Electric Arc Furnaces, Vacuum Tank Degassers, Continuous Casters, Hot and Cold Rolling Mills, and other Metallurgy equipment.

What You'll Do
Develop and implement PLC based automation control systems that include motion control, advanced sensors, VFD drives, and actuatorsSupport existing installed systemsPerform Level 1 control system programming based on the function descriptions and mechanical and hydraulic layoutsComplete sophisticated assignments requiring development of new and/or improved engineering techniques and proceduresInterface and communicate with local project team (project managers, engineers, support personnel) and internal experts as well customers and suppliers to provide engineering solutions to technical issues and project-related mattersConduct integrated testing and simulation of entire system before delivery to the end customerPerform on site commissioning and training as required
What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical EngineeringExperience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)Experience in automation and/or automation practicesExperience with Siemens TIA Portal or Rockwell RSloigx5000 preferredDemonstrates ability to apply engineering principles to the solution of design problemsAbility to work with minimal supervisionBe willing to travel to support the project workExcellent oral and written communication skills as well as excellent computer skills
