π Role Overview & Responsibilities
Top-Tier Commercial Bank in Midtown, Manhattan is seeking multiple Commercial Real Estate (CRE) for permanent positions!Responsibilities: Prepare loan presentations ensuring all details of the credit proposal are complete and accurate, provide assessment and adequacy of deal structure, risk ratings, and creditworthiness.Review and analyze appraisal, environmental, engineering, construction and inspection reports; communicates with report writer to resolve any discrepancies.Review loan documents prior to closing to ensure that all documents comply with the credit approval.Analyze the financial condition of businesses and individuals by thoroughly reviewing financial statements, tax returns and other relevant financial documents. Responsible for independently underwriting all credit requests for new applicants and existing obligors.Underwrite loans ranging from $100K to $10MM includes working capital facilities, borrowing base lines of credit, term loans, commercial mortgages, construction and bridge financing and government guarantee loan products (SBA / USDA).Interact with Bank attorneys, accountants, and loan brokers, as needed.Provide post-funding analytical and monitoring support of credit relationships and portfolio maintenance including annualPrepare quarterly impairment analysis reports.Create departmental procedures for day-to-day routine tasks. Assist the CCO in ongoing policy review and changes as required.Prepare reports and loan files for regulators and internal auditors.Provide mentoring to the Portfolio Manager.Assist Chief Credit Officer with special projects.Qualifications:Bachelorβs DegreeExcellent working knowledge of underwriting and credit risk administration for owner occupied and investment commercial real estate, commercial and industrial, construction loans and SBA/USDA loan products.Excellent working knowledge of underwriting and credit risk administration for owner occupied and investment commercial real estate, commercial and industrial, construction loans and SBA/USDA loan products.Credit experience at a commercial bank, credit union or community development financial institution preferred.
