Responsibilities

Division Description

The Risk Management Department contributes to the sustainable growth of the Societe Generale group through its expertise, understanding of risks, and risk management techniques. The department’s mission is to independently analyze, assess, manage, and monitor risk-taking activities with the objective of achieving, together with the first line-of-defense, the best possible outcome for the bank. The department oversees the enterprise, strategic, credit, market, liquidity, operational, model, and other risks of the corporate and investment banking business activities.

Within RISQ, the Metrics Monitoring Group(MMG) major missions are to meet the regulatory challenges of tomorrow, to support the development of the business lines and to enable the Group to meet its ambitions in terms of client satisfaction and efficiency.

The risk professional sought for this position will work actively on key market risk and counterparty credit risk initiatives within the region. The Counterparty and Market Exposures analysis team works in coordination with other risk departments (asset class specialists, market and counterparty risk officers, enterprise risk teams) to ensure the risk management program is of the right standards and evolves in accordance with best practices.

The Fixed Income Group(FIC) is responsible for covering all Fixed Income trading desks, including vanilla and exotic rates products, credit trading, financing and Asset Backed Products.

Skills and Qualifications

Must Have

Masters degree in Finance or applicable experiencePrior work experience in financial services with good knowledge of Fixed Income risk and PnL metricsUnderstanding valuation components of Fixed Income and Credit derivativesKnowledge of Greeks(Delta, Gamma, Vega, Basis, Forex)Strong analytical and mathematical skillsProficiency in Python programming a plus, for the purposes of data manipulation, automation and/or debuggingSelf-motivated and proactive
