Role OverviewThe Accounting Manager is a key support role to the Corporate Controller. This position is the internal go-to for questions or issues concerning financial reporting to internal and external parties. Additionally this position provides key information/reports to a number of internal and external parties, (i.e. customers, banks, external auditors).
Key Responsibilities:Publish monthly US TBU financial statements on management accounting basisPublish monthly and quarterly consolidated financial statements for Solaris Paper Inc on a legal entity basisPublish monthly and quarterly financial statements for Mercury Paper Inc on a legal entity basisReconcile US TBU income statements to legal entity basis financial statements to comply with bank loan covenants.Reconcile intercompany sales and COGS for legal entity reporting and correct errors, if any.Generate eliminating entries for the purpose of publishing consolidated financial statements for Solaris Paper Inc.Reconcile operating expense GL details to SAP financial statementsReconcile plant production reports to SAP trial balance and report discrepancies to cost accountants.Maintain three companies chart of accounts and SAP cost centers that are mated to Indonesia and China HQ reporting mapping tables.Manage audits with CPA external auditors and coordinate auditorsโ requests SPI, ATI and MPI.Manage semi-annual audits with bank auditors and coordinate auditorsโ requests for SPI, ATI and MPI.Perform loan covenant calculations for Solaris and Mercury on a quarterly basisPublish monthly, quarterly and annual state apportionment reports for Sales & Use Tax and Income Tax filing for SPI, ATI and MPI.Publish monthly reports to HQ such as working capital report and inventory and fixed assets reports.Review and maintain loan accounts transactions and reconcile interest expense and loan fees paid to bank versus agreed terms.Reconcile fixed assets balances to fixed asset roll-forwards schedules and accumulated depreciation and depreciation expenses.Assist in executing new accounting standards in legal entity reporting such as revenue recognition and lease accounting standards.Perform ad hoc accounting tasks.Identify gaps in accounting operations and financial reporting procedures and execute continuous improvement projects with other colleagues in accounting and other departments.
Key Requirements:Undergraduate degree in accounting with 5 years of relevant experienceSupervisory experienceAdvanced Excel skills with complete familiarity with pivot tables and lookup functions.Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning systems, especially SAP preferred.A quick learner with great attention to details, diligent, and well organized.Excellent verbal & written communication skillsAble to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
The anticipated annual salary range is $115,000 - $130,000 This range denotes only the pay range of the base salary and does not include discretionary bonus compensation, which may make up an important portion of the total remuneration. The listed range reflects the base salary Solaris Paper reasonably expects to pay for this position and is not a reflection of the highest and lowest base salary of any Solaris employee. Actual base salary will be based on factors such as the candidate's prior relevant experience, education, skills and knowledge.
