Senior Corporate Accountant

Solstice Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant (CPA) to join our engineering client based in Dallas, TX. Role is 100% in the corporate office located in North Dallas. · Bachelors Degree in Accounting and 2+ years of public accounting experience· CPA strongly preferred· Base salary of $85k - $115k DOE plus bonus opportunity and benefits

Roles and ResponsibilitiesPrepare and analyze financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with US GAAP.Conduct monthly and year-end close processes, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliations.Assist with the audit process by providing necessary schedules and documentation and interacting with external auditors.Review accounting processes and procedures for efficiency and effectiveness and implement improvements as needed.Collaborate with the finance team to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.Provide guidance on accounting matters to other departments, fostering cross-departmental collaboration.Stay current with accounting regulations, standards, and industry best practices.

Required ExperienceBachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance required; MSA/MBA a plus2+ years of audit experience in a large public accounting firm (Big 4 preferred)CPA License strongly preferredExcellent problem-solving skills and organizational skillsAbility to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including advanced Excel skills.
