Cyber Security Engineer Irvine, CA or San Antonio, TX12-Month ContractJob ID 2024-9744 Solugenix is assisting a client, a prestigious and large investment management company in their search for a Cyber Security Engineer. This is a 12-month contract opportunity based out of Irvine, CA/San Antonio, TX. Qualifications:8+ years’ experience working with UNIX and Windows operating systems.3+ years’ experience working with AWS and/or Azure.Shell scripting (bash/zsh/python/Powershell) experience.Working knowledge of IDS/IPS, Detection, RBAC, and Data Loss.Advanced system administration experience.Infrastructure and/or Information Security Experience preferred. Responsibilities:Manage health of various technologies related to information security with regards to visibility, automated workflow, and integrations with non-security technologies.Understand requirements from management and customer base to adjust toolset.Troubleshoot and resolve issues with minimal oversight.Identify, prioritize, and champion tool and process requirements.Strong technical and analytical ability.Strong business communication skills for detailing issues and ideas.Develop and maintain runbooks for supported technologies for operations, projects, and users of the toolset.Provide tuning recommendations for security tools.Highly motivated and maintains composure under pressure.Technologies to maintain and be responsible for:Mandiant Security Validation/VerodinAnomali Threat Aggregator/IntegratorQualys Vulnerability ManagementWindows / RHEL serversCyber Threat Intelligence platformsPay Range for CA, CO, IL, NJ, NY, WA, and DC: $70/hour to $90/hour. Starting rate of pay offered may vary depending on factors including but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training and/or experience.
