(RCA/Sony) is seeking an Analyst for the label’s A&R Analytics and Research team. The Analyst will have a central role in the team, constructing statistical insights and predictive metrics, conducting research on artists, and analyzing new music. These efforts will be used to evaluate song performance, identify new artists, support promotion strategy, and improve the label’s understanding of new music metrics. The Analyst must have training or coursework in statistics and modelling. Recent college graduates and Spring 2024 graduates are welcome to apply.

What you'll do

Conduct research to evaluate new music and improve the organization’s understanding of new music metricsCollect, prepare, and explore a variety of music data, and construct new methods to draw insights from this dataDevelop and test statistical and predictive models to support artist identification, signing decisions, song evaluation, and promotion strategyCommunicate closely with analytics and A&R teams in the gathering and application of music insightsDevelop and implement new analytical processes and/or technologies

Who you are

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in statistics, engineering, applied math, physics, quantitative social sciences, computer science, or similar fieldTraining or coursework in statistics and modellingAbility to communicate technical ideas to non-technical audiencesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong communication skillsStrong data visualization capabilitiesCandidate is curious and self-motivated

The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.

$60,000 — $70,000 USD
