📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Southern Electronics Supply is looking for an Experienced Bookkeeper
Various functions to include learning all aspects of our accounting and purchasing departments. This position is essential for our company’s day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate must be very detail oriented, a good communicator, and able to maintain organized records. Accuracy and follow up is a must. Potential for advancement is possible for the right candidate. Only serious and qualified applicants need to apply.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:· Performing/learning all accounting functions and providing back-up· Placing new purchase orders with vendors and monitoring special order screen for new orders· Maintaining our database with promotional pricing and rebates· Submitting monthly rebates and POS reporting· Maintaining pricing files· Expediting orders placed with vendors· Return authorizations for defective or unwanted items
Requirements:· Precise attention to detail and ability to retain information.· Good written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate and be capable of sitting at desk/computer for extended periods· Must be highly organized and able to meet deadlines· Must be proficient in Excel and have experience with Microsoft Office· AS400/Power 9 experience a plus.· High school diploma
Job Type: Full-time, No nights or weekends!Salary: Based on experience
