What you will be doing

Responsible for understanding and administering a wide variety of benefits programs: medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance and 401K.Primary point of contact for Southwind associates regarding payroll and benefitsProvide exceptional customer service to teammates regarding payroll-related inquiries and concerns via phone, email or in person concerning their benefits and payroll concerns.Coordinate with each business' managers about changes in payroll (I.E. raises, terminations, etc).Verify employee wages, salaries, overtime, and commissions accurately and ensure all relevant paperwork is in orderProcess changes to employee information, such as new hires, terminations, promotions, and salary adjustments.Monitor and resolve discrepancies in payroll data to ensure accuracy.Work with authorities (e.g. IRS) on audits or other special requests

What you bring to the role

Proven experience as a payroll processor/ specialist or in a similar position.Experienced in multi- state processing a plus but not required.Proficiency in using payroll software and Microsoft Excel.Knowledge of labor laws, tax regulations, and payroll best practices.
