Job Description
General Purpose of Job
Assist members in safe and correct use of cardiovascular and strength machines. Ensure that all equipment is in safe and working condition.
Essential Duties
This job description is intended to cover the minimum essential duties assigned on a regular basis. Associates may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned by their leader. Leadership has the right to alter or modify the duties of the position.
Perform club orientations and FitKids Certifications which includes: showing members cardio and strength machines; teaching posture and seat adjustments; demonstration or dynamic warm-up and static stretching.Greet members and provide assistance with fitness equipment, general club questions and other needs.Maintain weight room area by racking weights and returning equipment to it's proper placePerform proactive testing of equipment.Clean machines, discard trash and dirty towels as needed.Light maintenance such as tightening bolts and oiling rods required.Enforce all MAC policies in areas of responsibility including, kids under 13, shirts & shoes, working in on machines, etc.Ensure safety of members in fitness areas.Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
General Requirements
CPR/AED Certification
Work Experience
Minimum of 1 year of experience in the customer service industry preferred
Education
High School Diploma required.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills Required
Strong verbal communication skills for club orientations & FitKids certifications Strong customer service skills. Preferred: Some college experience in Kinesiology, exercise science or related field preferred. Minimum 2 years of customer service preferred
