TITLE: Software Engineer III

LOCATION: Maryland Heights, MO

JOB SUMMARY: Serve as part of a team responsible for providing solutions to problems and defects unique to Spectrum Mobile stores, as well as identifying areas of improvement that can be obtained through software development solutions. Develop software development solutions for mobile operations in Spectrum stores by developing, modifying, enhancing, and implementing software systems designed to support new or existing business initiatives. Serve as primary escalation point to resolve incidents and problems for production applications and web services supported by the team in accordance with identified Service Level Agreements. Collaborate with customers, internal and cross-departmental technical teams to identify software problems and communicate remediation plans. Code and performs unit and integration testing of software to ensure proper and efficient execution and adherence to business and technical requirements. Code, test, and debug new software or make enhancements to existing software. Write programs according to specifications. Provide general system users and management with system analysis and feedback. Influence system design by identifying and recommending design and requirements needs for software enhancements. Maximize the efficiency of the various software systems by implementing, monitoring, testing, and auditing new software programs. Analyze and resolve computer related problems by coordinating within-house personnel to diagnose and fix operational difficulty, as well as consulting, advising, and training on specialized features and functions.

EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering (any) or related field. 3 years of experience using frameworks including MVC, Apache Struts, Hibernate, Spring, jQuery, Bootstrap, and AngularJS; and using programming languages including Java, C++, SQL, and PL/SQL. 2 years of experience using Web Technologies including JSP, Java Script, Ajax, XML, HTML, DHTML, SOAP, RESTful, and Python; using Databases including Oracle, SQL Server, AWS, MS Access, My SQL, and IBM DB2; and using Application servers including Web Sphere, Web logic, Tomcat, and Jboxx. A hybrid office and remote work arrangement is available.
