📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Title: Project Manager ILocation: Charlotte, NC OR Greenville, SC (hybrid role, 2 days/week in office, full-time)
Key Responsibilities:Manage various Transmission projects throughout their lifecycle, including engineering, procurement, and construction phases.Ensure maintenance of project scope, schedule, and cost.Lead project teams without direct supervisory responsibility.Conduct site visits, requiring the ability to navigate rough and uneven terrain.This role typically oversees multiple "White" or "Green I" projects, as defined by the Project Management Center of Excellence Project Profile Matrix.The Project Manager I may interact with individuals across various organizational levels, from individual contributors to senior department leadership.
Qualifications:Minimum 2 years of project management experience.Graduation from a two-year college or university.Working knowledge of project management principles.Proficiency in Project Management, Decision Making, Critical Thinking, and Problem Solving.Experience in risk management and project leadership.Proven ability to collaborate effectively within project teams.
Preferred Qualifications:Graduation from a four-year college or university.Utility Technical Certifications/Training.PMI (PMP or CAPM) Certification.CMII certificates.Professional Engineer License.Proficiency in project scheduling and cost controls.Experience in the utility industry and construction management.
