Job Description The Regional Director of Business Development for the US & Canada is a senior leadership role responsible for driving the growth and expansion of a company into new markets or geographical regions. This role is critical to the organisation's strategic objectives and requires a visionary leader who can identify and seize new opportunities, establish partnerships, and develop market-entry strategies to maximise revenue and market share.

The Director of Business Development and Pre-Construction for New Market plays a pivotal role in shaping the company's growth trajectory by identifying and capitalising on new business opportunities. Success in this role requires a blend of strategic thinking, market knowledge, leadership, and a strong commitment to achieving results.

Job Responsibilities

Market Research and Analysis:Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential opportunities, market trends, and competitive landscape.Analyse market data, customer behaviour, and emerging industry trends to make informed decisions.

Strategy Development:Develop and execute a market entry strategy that aligns with the company's goals and resources.Create a road map for market expansion, including short-term and long-term objectives.

Partnership and Relationship Building:Identify and establish partnerships, joint ventures, or collaborations with key stakeholders, distributors, and local partners.Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, regulatory bodies, and industry associations.Set and implement high standards for customer satisfaction and service delivery.

Sales and Revenue Growth:Define sales targets and revenue goals for the new market.Lead a sales and business development team to achieve those targets.Monitor sales performance and adjust strategies as needed to meet or exceed targets.

Pre-Construction Management:Pre-construction activities including estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and value engineering.with the design and engineering teams to develop innovative solutions and ensure project feasibility.Pre-construction process from concept to bidding, ensuring quality, efficiency, and adherence to project requirements.

Product Localisation:Assess the need for product or service modifications to cater to the new market's preferences and requirements.Collaborate with product development and marketing teams to adapt offerings accordingly.Risk Assessment and Mitigation:Identify potential risks and challenges related to market entry.Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.Budget Management:Develop and manage the budget for the new market expansion.Monitor and control expenses to ensure profitability.Reporting and Analysis:Provide regular reports to senior management on the progress of the new market expansion.Use data and metrics to track key performance indicators and adjust strategies accordingly.
