📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities:· This is an intermediate or experienced position. Work under general supervision and/or independently with no instructions for routine work and under general supervision for special assignments· Development of Spirit specifications, clarify program tasks, verify material usage, regularly attend meetings, presentations etc.· Technical support to production, program, operations and SCM.· Conduct drawing reviews, develop test plan, perform testing, release reports etc.· Provide support to R&D projects
Required Skills:· Bachelor or Master degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Materials Science· For Bachelors, 5-8 years and 3-6 years for Masters of relevant industry experience· Knowledge on various chemical processing like anodizing (metal finishing), conversion coating, cleaning, chemical milling, plating and sealing etc.· Ability to analyze materials and material properties to optimize manufacturing processes· Provide M&PE technical support for programs, operations, quality, liaison and supply chain to resolve production issues and improve quality· Develop test plans, coordinate testing, test reports for qualification activities and author material and process specifications for Spirit AeroSystems· Review detail and assembly drawings for compliance to customer requirements· Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to work independently or on a team Preferred skills:· General technical knowledge on the requirements for supporting Nadcap and customer audits in chemical processing field· Strong analytical skills using analytical instrumentation, including, but not limited to, FT-IR, DMA, DSC, TGA, and GC-MS· Analytical data processing/certification skills such as Root Cause Corrective Action, Six Sigma, Shainin Red-X, Robust Design and/or Design for Six Sigma· Support R&D project management activities including resources/budget planning, deliverables, project schedules, presentation to leadership etc.· Independently determine & develop approaches to solutions and provide technical support for R&D projects as required· General knowledge on global chemical regulations such as REACH, IAEG Spirit AeroSystems is an equal opportunity employer and considers qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, marital or civil partnership status, pregnancy, age, disability, veteran status or any other protected factor under federal, state or local law.
