Accountant

Overview:Responsible for overseeing financial operations, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Provide essential financial support and analysis. Job Duties:Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Generate accurate financial reports for management review.Budget Management: Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts. Monitor budgetary performance and provide variance analysis to identify areas for improvement.Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and customer billing. Ensure timely collection of receivables and accurate processing of payables.General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the general ledger and reconcile accounts on a regular basis. Ensure proper recording of financial transactions and adherence to accounting principles.Tax Compliance: Assist in tax planning and preparation activities. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations. Prepare and file tax returns as required.Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making processes. Evaluate financial performance, assess risk, and identify opportunities for improvement.Process Improvement: Continuously review financial processes and procedures to identify efficiencies and streamline operations. Implement improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness.Regulatory Compliance: Stay current with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends. Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other applicable guidelines. Experience/Education/Skills:Bachelor's degree in AccountingProven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality or leisure industry.Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams.Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Integrity and professionalism in handling confidential information.
