📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:Perform instrumentation and controls engineering and design for natural gas construction projects which may include regulating facilities, large metering, natural gas heaters, remote operated equipment, and gate stations.Develop and implement programmable logic controller (PLC) control schemes for flow switching, metering, remote loading, flow control, pressure control, and burner control.Assist Instrumentation & Regulation (I&R) field crews in troubleshooting and commissioning equipment such as remote terminal units, water bath heaters, dryline heaters, hydronic heat systems, and gas analyzers.Develop and verify Pipe and Instrument Diagram (P&ID) drawings for regulator stations and burner systems.Develop and verify Control Diagram drawings for regulator stations. Skills and Experience:Bachelor of Science Degree in an Engineering discipline is required.Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred.At least 5 years of I&C engineering design is required.Experience in the application of design and construction standards, engineering drawings, and procedures.Experience in the application of instrumentation and control systems for natural gas applications.Technical knowledge of natural gas system design and operations including natural gas industry codes and regulations, engineering and environmental codes and standards.Knowledge of OSHA, PHMSA, and applicable State regulations.
