Position Overview

The Collaboration Technology Technician is responsible for providing courteous and timely audio visual and video production services to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Responsibilities

Completes standard setup and testing of AV and IT systems prior to client arrival. Serves as department contact to interface directly with clients day of event, and relays relevant questions or concerns to other departments.Diagnoses and resolves complex problems, questions, and inquiries encountered by clients.Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.).Create, document, and escalate issues and problems according to set standards and SLAs.Proactively develop deep knowledge of technical concepts, processes, and procedures.Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.Maintains regular and predictable attendance.

Minimum Education and/or Training

High School Diploma or GED required.

Minimum Experience

Experience with the following is highly preferred:LCD display devices, Crestron control systems, Switching / routing / interfacing technology; Videoconferencing and audioconferencing technologies.Cisco videoconference (VTC) codecs.Audio and video components, including audio DSPs and analog and digital switchers.Knowledge of AV design, including signal flow.WebEx, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams.Ability to troubleshoot, determine and evaluate AV/VC-related problems, and to assist in the scheduling for repair if necessary preferred.Strong customer service and communication skills, including the ability to train non-technical users on operation of technical systems preferred.Problem-solving and critical thinking skills to diagnose problems and determine steps necessary to an efficient and effective solution preferred.Knowledge of PC and Mac computers and commonly used software such as Microsoft Office, Google docs and other communication software preferred.Experience providing support around IT systems (e.g. operating systems; setup and configuration of computers and printers in a networked environment; maintenance of hardware components and computer peripherals) preferred.

Compensation

In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $22.00 - $38.50 per hour for the role of Collaboration Technology Technician.
