Controller

Position Overview: As the Controller, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. You will work closely with senior management to develop financial strategies that support the company's growth and profitability objectives. This position will be a smaller accounting environment and will be one of the few accounting professionals in the department.Must be open to some on site per week in North Miami.

Key Responsibilities:Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and maintain the company's annual budget and regularly update forecasts to track performance against targets.Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow and liquidity to ensure the company meets its financial obligations and maximize returns on surplus funds.Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.Cost Management: Implement cost control measures and analyze cost drivers to optimize operational efficiency.Internal Controls: Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulations.Tax Compliance: Coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations.Audit Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and coordinate the annual audit process.Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks through proactive risk management strategies.Team Leadership: Lead and develop the finance team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.

Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.5+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles, preferably in a small business environment.Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.Proficiency in Quickbooks Accounting SoftwareExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity.
